Day VII: Moab

Sunflower Field

This makes for a very long 24 hours, especially after I made it to this field only to find all the sunflowers dying.

Finally got to spend a few hours shooting today.  Walking is still pretty exhausting, but hopefully I can start getting some real posts going again.

The balcony above me was raining dead flowers while I was taking this shot. 

A Rainy Day Flower

I really want to invest in a macro lens, but in this case, the inability to get a clean focus up close and the accentuation of the highlights in the picture creates a wonderful, dreamy soft-glow effect.
